  3. Funny you mentioned Crowley because recently I realized I know very little about him... after I finish reading "The Great Safari" (which is great by the way - thanks for the recommendation on the Adamson's) I plan on reading something by Crowley.

  4. The interesting bits about Crowley are the wild sex parties he had and the connection with the
guy who developed rockets in the fifties in Socal

Yes that Adamson book is great, I just listened to an interview with one of those guys who had the lion named Christian and their opinion of Mrs Adamson..., apparently she was a prickly pear to them and had several lion skin chairs in her abode that freaked them out LOL

  5. That's right - I do remember something about Crowley's wild sex parties... he should be an interesting character to read about.

Finished the Adamson book ! Loved it !

HA - 'prickly pear' I think that's putting it mildly...Lion skinned chairs?!?!? LOL - I'd get freaked out as well.
That two-minute video on Youtube about Christian the lion nearly reduced me to tears.
    Thanks again !

  6. My favorite AC book is 'Moonchild'. If you're going to read him, this is a good place to start.

  9. Fritz - that book looks like a lot of fun, and right up my alley...
Over the summer, I read some heavy stuff by Schopenhauer and a few books on Richard Feynman and quantum mechanics. A good book on the occult coupled with Crowley both seem perfect for the chilly days of autumn ahead.
