Midgets In Crime

Gertrude "Gurdy" Fitzgerald was arrested for illegal gambling activities in Kansas City, MO on June 3, 1953 after police extricated her from a U.S. mailbox.
Sergeant Frank Demerest stated she had over three hundred dollars and numerous betting slips on her persons. Demerest further added Fitzgerald was also charged with assault after biting the arresting officer on the kneecap.
