I think my current favorite B-movie creature is Corman's crab monster. I sew a lot and I'm wanting to use B-movie and/or vintage imagery (of which I'm deeply enamored) in my sewn creations. So far I haven't been happy with the fabric printing services available (here's my Vertigo baby bunting). But man... nothing compares to these old movies and illustrations! Thank you so much for curating them.
What a fantastic idea! The Vertigo baby bunting is amazing - I honestly can't believe you did that with fabric.
Yes, the Crab Monster is a hoot. I will surely post more B-Movie memories when I happen upon them. Keep sewing up those monsters and send more of your great work when you can. :)
That looks a lot like the monster from The Horror Of Party Beach (1964). But not quite. The film monster had weird hot dog things protruding outward from its mouth and a slightly different schnoz.
ReplyDeleteThe monster is one and the same.
ReplyDeleteThe image came from a magazine cover from the '60's featuring hot rods, horror films and milk shakes socials.
That's a great picture of the monster - thanks for sharing it - love that schnoz !
ReplyDeleteI know, Holy Mother of Unintentional Comedy!
