1934 - Atlantic City, NJ - Four of the seven Miss Amercia contestants from the Midwest region were disqualified for having "relations" with the judges: Miss Iowa, Miss Arkansas, Miss Idaho, and Miss Iowa. The women later talked about their ordeals in "Romantic Confession" articles.*On a side note, Miss Missouri was unable to compete after she was found to be underage.
