    One of my top 3 hotels. On 2 streetcar routes, superior view, class & elegance. Special receptions for 'Presidents Club' members. Hope I go back to SF soon.

    I never received the Presidential treatment, but fully agree - class & elegance. I should be heading out to SF in the Spring to visit my friend and his wife, maybe I'll book a room.

    It's a wonderful city.

    The Fairmont Presidents Club is free to join, you can join at check-in. I also recommend the Parc 55 (Marriott). If you stay there, be sure and order the Chocolate Pot from room service. Excellent hot cocoa at a reasonable price.

    I'll be spending two nights at my friend's house, then plan to check-in to a hotel for the remaining three days.

    I'll look into the Parc 55, as well... 2 night at the Fairmont and 1 night Parc 55 - works for me !

    Hot cocoa sounds good right about now.
