For reasons that remain unclear a local channel here in L.A. played this flick 5 nights in a row, in prime time when I was growing up. Then they did it again a few months later! Pretty much every kid, boy or girl I was in school with knew about the War of the Gargantuas. I don't remember the Octopus .
No octopus involved. WOR New York Channel 11 on the east coast often did the same thing. Perhaps the station manager looped it and headed out to a bar. I remember my younger sister was always the Brown one and I had to be the Green whenever we attacked each other with couch cushions.
