Kidnapped as a baby,space crash survivor, sold into slavery to a traveling circus for hat money, attacked by a dog, stabbed with a pitchfork, shot repeatedly, starved , netted and electrocuted, put into a coma, attacked by an elephant and people , depth charged, and finally shot off the Coliseum with a bazooka. The Ymir's life sucked. I think the best scene is him hatching.

Harryhausen was THE MAN.
As a kid, my favorite scene was Ymir's battle with the elephant.
