I never realized till recently the ubiquitous-ness of Sombrero/Serape propping in '50's-'60's pinups. It always looks cheap. At least there is no pinata. I think I will always prefer the prop telephone instead (nix on the stuffed animal or sports item, power tools and food are ok) Note the lone pitiful cactus just stuck in the beach sand as an afterthought and tribute to poor composition.
Only tourists (and soccer fans in stadiums) wear that kind of sombreros and sarapes.
