By brother and I refer to this scenario/trope as "Being "Lope'd" from the scene in the Harryhausen masterpiece The Valley of Gwangi when the young Mexican boy is carried off by the Pterosaur. Same thing happens to Raquel in 1Million Years BC and in a lot of other stuff. Watch the Skies! Don't be a Lope'!
